Rest in Peace. Such an unbelievable tragedy that you were taken so early.
Washington Capitals Practice
Here is an assortment of photos that I took the past two times we went to see the Caps practice at Kettler Iceplex in Ballston. I have fond memories of playing there, and the building is just absolutely phenomenal.
And Ovi again.
Orlov! We love him.
Here comes Matty!
Nicky in the scrimmage.
Semin’s butt. Yepp.
Navy jerseys. I wish they had these for games.
Hendricks, Chimera, Brouwer.
Let’s gather round the clipboard boys.

Verizon Center Glass Seats
So, earlier this week, I had the privilege of attending the Washington Capitals home game against the Nashville Predators with 3 of my friends. We had seats directly behind the Caps bench. It was very surreal. We were on tv, we were right next to the players, and you could feel everything on the boards. It was a great experience, and I won’t be forgetting that anytime soon. My phone died right at the beginning of the game, but I was able to get a few pictures during the pre game skate. Enjoy!

Look at all the sticks!
Jordan Tootoo…hate him.

2011: A Year in Review
Well, I can’t believe it’s already here. 2012. A few more weeks and we will be there…how crazy is that? This year has gone by so fast. Feel free to let me know what you thought was the best band or favorite album of the year. I’d love to speak with you about it! While this list will focus on best/favorite picks, I will also include new music that I found particularly interesting. It will give a good balance to the list!

Redskins vs Cowboys
What did you all think of the game? I was only able to watch the second half, as I was out playing a gig in Arlington. The Redskins looked great until the end of the fourth quarter. The Cowboys exploited this and somehow found a way to win throughout all their adversity. Now, I hate the Cowboys, but you have to give them respect for this win. With Romo’s injury (whether he was truly injured or just hurt it does not really matter, he still played through pain), the bad snaps, the young players, and everything else, they still got it done. We all wish the Skins had that same attitude. Oh, and if the Skins don’t botch that field goal, they win the game. Another game lost on special teams. No matter how many things change, the Skins still can’t get it together on special teams. The kicking game has ALWAYS been a problem for Washington teams, and you’d think they would solve it right away. I guess we will see. This was a good game for the Redskins and Cowboys rivalry wise, but to many watching the game, it was not as exciting as it ought to be. The real test here will be what the Skins do next week. Will they give up now that they have lost a game? Is their spirit crushed, and is their season over? In order to stray away from who they have been (the typical Redskins of the past), they must win their next two games and really establish themselves early on in the season as playoff contenders. Only once they reach the playoffs will they prove all the haters wrong. But I guess we will just have to wait and see to find out.
Side note: Laron Landry played great in his first game back since November. It was great to see him cause a fumble and a HUGE hit along the sideline to force an incomplete pass.
